Australian children's entertainment band The Wiggles is set to commemorate its 30th anniversary with a years-worth of celebrations.
To celebrate the milestone, a year of celebratory activities will take place including live tours, new music releases, activations, and the release of limited-edition vintage merchandise.
Speaking on the achievement, Anthony Field said that the band is thrilled to celebrate its 30 year anniversary with fans.
"It has been a real adventure over the last thirty years, and we hope to be having this much fun for at least another 30 years to come!
"2021 marks a very important moment for us and we cannot wait to celebrate this milestone with all our fans, young and young-at-heart," he said.
Helping to kick off the celebrations was the news that the band had reached another significant milestone; clocking up over one billion music streams worldwide.
"Thank you to our Wiggly fans all around the world for listening to our music on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming services," Lachy Gillespie added.
"We’re looking forward to sharing lots of exciting new Wiggly tunes with you over the year ahead," he said.
One such song was the new We’re All Fruit Salad! single, which was released as part of the 30-year celebrations.
The song is celebration of diversity, inclusion, and reflection, capturing key global concerns of today and musically delivering a message of unity, respect, appreciation and acceptance.
The song features a range of special guest artists and performers, including Richie Allan, Lou Diamond Phillips, Evie Ferris, James Harkness, Jawan M. Jackson, Taylor Simone Jackson, Paul Knobloch, Robert Rakete, and Victor Valdes.
Other key highlights for the 30th celebrations include celebrity and fan-fuelled social media campaigns, a 'ReWiggled' tribute album, a greatest hits album and brand new Emma! series three.
