After strutting their stuff on the international stage at this year’s Olympic Games in London, Australian trampolining champions will be bouncing and somersaulting their way through Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and the ACT as part of Vuly’s Olympic Athletes Tour.
Australian trampoline champions Blake Gaudry, Ty Swadling, Hayley Tagell, Korri Loader, supported by Australian Olympic trampolining coach Nikolay Zhuravlev, are hoping to inspire more young Australians to take up the high-energy sport.
"Whether you are competing or just doing it for fun, trampolining is a great way to improve your fitness, co-ordination and flexibility. We’ll be giving local residents a taste of the sport and we hope they come along to see us this Saturday," said Blake Gaudry.
Vuly Trampolines founder and CEO Joe Andon said trampolining was undergoing a renaissance in Australia thanks to a range of new designs and safety features.
"Forget the old trampolines of the past. Today’s trampolines come in all sizes and designs, feature fun accessories like basketball hoops, and are safer than ever before," said Andon.
"Indoors or outdoors, casual bouncers through to professional athletes find trampolining a fun and rewarding sport. This tour will see our Australian Olympic athletes showcase their routines at special events across the country."
