A string of toy businesses from Australia and the globe have shown their support for the Black Lives Matter movement, following the horrific killing of George Floyd.
Participating in the #BlackOutTuesday initiative - where users 'go silent' on social media and only post a black screen in order to reflect on recent events and stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement - Australian businesses Moose Toys, Toymate, Divisible By Zero and Laugh and Learn Toy Shop are just some of the Australian companies using their platforms to voice their support for the movement.
Globally, toy companies including Hasbro, Mattel and MGA participated in Black Out Tuesday too, while Spin Master has taken it one step further and has muted its content until 07 June.
"In solidarity with #amplifymelanatedvoices created by @blackandembodied and @jessicawilson.msrd, we will be muting our content until June 7 to give access for Black voices to be heard so we can continue to listen and further our learning," Spin Master posted.
Black Out Tuesday took place on 02 June.
