QBD Books and Australian Geographic's first phase of their new partnership is set to begin this month.

The partnership will see the integration of the online store commencing in June and by mid-August all QBD stores across Australia will host an Australian Geographic store-in-store.

The agreement sees Aus Geo re-enter the brick-and-mortar retail space, following its termination of the licensing agreement with University Co-op which operated the Aus Geo branded retail stores prior to the termination and the Co-op's subsequent administration

The shop-within-a-shop arrangement and branded kiosks at key locations will provide Australian Geographic customers with a new in-store experience Australian Geographic MD Jo Runciman said.

"Our joining with QBD is to be celebrated, our products and its great distribution are a perfect fit.

"Australian Geographic has proudly produced the nation’s foremost geographical magazine for more than 30 years and we’re delighted to be returning to bricks-and-mortar stores around the country and we look forward to welcoming back our loyal customers and meeting new ones," she said.

QBD CEO Nick Croydon stated that he and the QBD team are very excited about this partnership and look forward to introducing both existing and new QBD customers to the Australian Geographic brand.

QBD Books operates approximately 76 stores across Australia.
