Australian toy business, Moose Toys, has appointed a new president and general manager of its American division.
Glenn Abell will be accountable for all facets USA business from April 2019. He will become a member of the Moose Toys Senior Leadership team which is responsible for global commercial strategy and product development direction.
Commenting on his appointment, Abell said that he is very excited to join the growing USA division of the Moose business.
“I'm very excited to be joining the team at Moose in April. Over the years, Moose has proven itself as an innovative, entrepreneurial and fast moving company with expertise across several categories.
“Since entering the US market directly, the company's growth has been amazing. I'm looking forward to joining a very capable and talented team in Los Angeles to be a part of the company’s evolution.
“Being a family owned business with a tremendous culture was a major factor in my decision to join. In addition, the ability to help children in need through the Moose Foundation is something that is very close to my heart.
“On the commercial side, I’m looking forward to contributing to the growth agenda. All in all, a very exciting road ahead,” he said.
Previous to his appointment at Moose, Abell spent the past 16 years working at The Lego Group where he served in various roles across general management, sales and marketing in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK.
Co-owner of Moose Toys, Paul Solomon, said that the business always aims to employ people at the height of their profession.
