Sydney Airport has unveiled its new lifestyle precinct at T2 Domestic, which features premiere Australian airport concepts for Lego, Bonds and JB Hi-Fi.

The new precinct aims to create a fresh and relaxing pre- and post-flight experience and features new brands and food and drink concepts, specially curated for the area.

Sydney Airport COO, Vanessa Orth, said that the precinct represents a new way of thinking about air travel.

“We want our customers to feel relaxed before they board their flight, so we’re looking at the end-to-end journey more holistically from the time they start planning a trip to take-off, and how we can enhance every step along the way.

“We’ve partnered with strong, local Australian brands to deliver our new lifestyle precinct with concepts that should appeal to everyone including technology, apparel, news and books, toys, and most importantly, a chocolatier!

“We’re reimagining the travel experience for our customers and look forward to delivering so much more to ensure their time at Sydney Airport is seamless and relaxing.”

Taking inspiration from the newly opened Bondi Junction store, the Lego store at the airport – the first of its kind in Australia – features interactive building stations, to occupy kids while they're waiting for their flight.

As part of the revamp, Sydney Airport will also open a relax area with new furniture, fixtures, enhanced connectivity and upgraded navigation.

The lifestyle precinct is located in the T2 Domestic terminal, near gate 49.
