Hasbro announces Top 10 for Christmas 2012

31 Jul 2012

The team at Hasbro Australia launched its Top 10 toys for Christmas on Friday last week at the company’s head office in Sydney.

The product mix included toys for big kids and little, boys and girls and several products that would appeal collectors of all ages.

Top of the list is the re-imagined Furby, whose features include LCD eyes, motion sensors, over 100 phrases pre-programmed and virtual extension via a ‘feeding’ app on the iPad.

Monopoly Millionaire edition has taken the 'slow and steady' out of game playing and replaced it with a race to be the first to make $1 million dollars. Games can be played to completion in under one hour and play features include upgrading the game’s tokens as the stacks of cash add up.

Little sisters and family pets may never be the same again once the fire power of the Nerf N-Strike Elite Hailfire is unleashed. This latest editoin to the Nerf range has the largest dart capacity of any of the blasters to date on board – and is able to be increased with the addition of an 18-dart clip.

Hasbro’s latest interactive toys include the Baby Wanna Walk, sure to appeal to the nurturers as children help her take her first steps, while the tactile fluffy charm of the FurReal Friends Bouncy My Happy To See Me Pup is a very nice substitute for the allergic.

Twister Dance takes active play and the development of gross-motor co-ordination to the next level, incorporating the classic spot elements of the mat game with moving to your favourite tunes that are either pre-programmed into the device or taken straight off the iPod docked at the rear.
LOL Elmo is the successor to the Rockin’ Elmo that was popular last year. LOL Elmo loves to laugh and tell jokes and giggles so hard he rolls on the ground.

Play Halo in real life with the new augmented reality Laser Tag set. Up to 24 players can battle it out for dominance with special effects, sounds and realistic action game play. Available in either single or two-player packs.

BeyWheelz Crash Course Set has taken its inspriation from BMX and gone in a whole new direction. This diffusion line toy can handle different terrain and can be set up to play anywhere.

Last but not least, don’t miss the refreshed core My Little Pony range that will celebrate life, love and romance with the gala royal wedding between Princess Cadence and the first ever male pony, Prince Shining Armour. Let the love story continue.
