Christie Fleischer has joined internet entertainment service, Netflix, as the global head of consumer products.
She will oversee the implementation of retail and licensee partnerships, publishing, interactive games, merchandising and experiential events across all categories, for Netflix original series' and films.
Chief marketing officer at Netlfix, Kelly Bennett, said that Fleischer will help to bring new experiences to Netflix fans.
“Christie brings a wealth of experience and creativity from the consumer products world.
“She has helped to build some of the world’s most beloved brands and we’re thrilled that she will join us to give our fans more opportunities to interact with Netflix in new and exciting ways.
“We want to create the highest quality experience for our fans in everything we do.”
Before joining Netflix, Fleischer most recently served at the Walt Disney Company as the head of merchandise for parks, experiences and consumer products. She led a global team that oversaw product strategy, product development, creative, sourcing, supply chain and logistics across Parks and Resorts, Disney stores and licensing.
Speaking about her new role, Fleischer said that she is excited to revolutionise the way people interact with Netflix brands.

“With the amazing series and films being developed on a global scale, we have the opportunity to truly revolutionise the way people engage with the characters and shows they love.

Fleischer was appointed on 04 September.
