ATA golf day huge success

Over 100 ATA members braved the intermittent rain and cold to raise over $30,000 at the Wheelchairs for Kids charity golf day supported by Mercedes Benz Berwick and Aston Ryan Malcolm.

The Toy Trade Cup went to Lego’s Alistair Powell on 40 points, runner-up was HeadStart’s David Hendy with 37 points.

Susie Hendy (HeadStart) won the Toy Trade Ladies’ event on 37 points closely followed by runner-up Chrissy Skinner (Skinner Advertising) with 35 points.

The Alan Kean Retailer Trophy was won by All Creatures Great and Small’s John Kelly with 32 points with runner-up Bruce Tucker (Toyworld Casey Central) on 31 points.

The Alan Jones Supplier Trophy went to David Hendy followed by Sparfacts Simon James on 35 points.

The prize for Nearest The Pin Hole 6 went to Sampling Technologies’ Martin Bagnall, and Hole 12 went to Tony Oates (Big Balloon).

Luke Mansfield (Moreton Hire) took out the Longest Drive Hole 11 Mens’ and the Ladies’ gong went to Tessa Fraser.

There was no winner declared for Ladies’ Nearest The Pin Hole 3 but Jasnor’s Sherrie Thurlow won for Hole 16.

The Mattel team of Steve Avery, Tim Ng, Matthew Batchelor and John Bolwell won the Lowest Scoring group, while HeadStart’s Andrew Hendy, Chris Jackson, Alan Ngov and Toys ‘R’ Us’ Anthony Grice took the honours for Worst Scoring group.
