All go for Australian Girl dolls

22 May 2012

The awarding of the Australian Girl doll trademark certification has opened doors for the brand to extend its range.

Australian Girl doll creator Helen Schofield said that while “it wasn’t hard to register the trademark logo, when it came to the generic words, others had tried and given up.”

“Thanks to the support in the Australian community for the whole Australian Girl concept and products we were able to present a good case and have it accepted and registered,” she says.

Australian Girl dolls have been designed in Australia and are unique in that their toe structure has been specially designed to allow them to wear the iconic Aussie classic, thongs.

The dolls stand 50cm tall and have sleep eyes and kankelon fibre hair.

The five doll characters hail from different states with genealogies that broadly represent the composition of the Australian community.
