Family-owned, Australian toy company Colorific is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2020. 

Established in 1990 by Peter Levi and his business partner Wayne Brander out of a small shop-front in Hampton, Colorific has grown its distribution network to over 40 countries, selling over 50 million products in the process. 

In 2003 Brander retired and Levi bought his half of the enterprise, with sons Jonny and Mark joining the business upon Brander's exit. 

Some of Colorific’s earliest product lines included FairyLites, Face Paint and educational craft which remain favourites in the market today, along with activity brands like Kids Projects and Wood WorX.

Since then, the business has expanded into new toy categories including the electronic/STEM and preschool/nursery segments, backed by its in-house development team.

In 2019 Colorific were inducted into the Family Business Australia Vic/Tas Chapter Hall of Fame. 

The FBA Hall of Fame recognises and rewards successful family businesses that have ‘best fit’ practices that all family businesses can learn from. 

MD Mark Levi said that the business would not be where it is today without the support of the industry. 

"Being a family business has always been integral to the Colorific culture.

"This has only been made possible by the ongoing support from our team members, both past and present and all our business partners who have contributed to our journey so far.

"A particular thanks to our wide and varied range of customers, many of whom have been with us since day one," he said. 

Colorific is looking forward to its future and plans to continue its innovation in product categories.
