The winner of the Spielwarenmesse's ToyCocktail competition has been revealed, with Sigrid Klein taking out the top spot with her cocktail 'Fairytoyl'.
The competition has been a firm fixture on the calendar in the lead up to the fair, now in its 16th year, and forms part of the ToyCity initiative.
Five Nuremburg bars went head to head in die rote Bar on 02 December, presenting their creations to three expert judges from Nuremburg, Hanover and Munich.
The criteria for the concoction included flavour, appearance and aroma.
Klein said that the ToyCocktail competition allowed her to express her creativity.
"It’s a great opportunity to give your creativity a free rein and to have your own drink served both to the participants at the Spielwarenmesse and the people of Nuremberg – all thanks to the town’s ToyCity Initiative.
"That’s why I’m so thrilled that my recipe won over the experts," she said.
Second place was awarded to Toylicious by Benjamin Dietz from the Treff bar at Arvena Park Hotel while the Toy let's swizzle cocktail by barkeeper Fabian Hess from die rote Bar clinched third place.
Fairytoyl will be served at five bars around Nuremburg from 29 January to 02 February.
