NBCUniversal and Foxtel have teamed up in an Australian first to launch a DreamWorks pop-up channel for the month of June. 

The partnership offers all Australian Foxtel residential customers access to DreamWorks content dedicated to kids and family entertainment. 

Launched on 01 June, the channel will be available to customers until 30 June and features properties such as Trolls: The Beat Goes On!,  Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny and Turbo Fast. 

NBCUniversal International Networks and Television Distribution ANZ MD Chris Taylor said that the business was thrilled to launch the channel in Australia. 

"We are excited to be able to extend our partnership with Foxtel to offer Australians this pop-up channel with 24-hour access to some of the best-known DreamWorks franchises and characters, bringing the magic of adventure and imagination to our screens. 

"We couldn’t think of a more fitting time to be able to give Australians their fix of premium kids and family entertainment while isolating at home," he said. 

Foxtel CCO Amanda Laing said that the business was pleased to be able to offer more content while social isolation measures are still in place. 

"This exclusive pop-up channel is a great opportunity for our loyal Foxtel viewers to discover and sample a range of new and exciting family content from the incredible DreamWorks creative team.

"We’re delighted to work together with our partners at NBCUniversal to provide this additional channel at no extra cost throughout June for our residential customers at a time we know Australians are watching more and more Foxtel at home," she said.  

Outside of this partnership, the DreamWorks channel airs in eleven territories across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
