At the 70th instalment of Spielwarenmesse in Nuremburg, licensing will be put in the spotlight, with the Fair introducing a new licensing-focused program of events.
LicenseTalks are a new addition to the Spielwarenmesse and will take place during the first three days of the fair at the Toy Business Forum in Hall 3A.
A selection of speakers from LIMA, Jazwares, Nikelodeon/Viacom, Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG) and the Simba Dickie Group will unveil trends, explore current themes and give an overall rundown of the licensing industry.
Spielwarenmesse said that the expert panels offer a range of knowledge to appeal to the varying aspects of the licensing industry.
“Licences have long been a firm feature of the Spielwarenmesse.
“From 30 January to 3 February 2019, they will be ubiquitous at the exhibition centre in Nuremberg – as products and as part of advertising and communication campaigns.
“The various offerings target different groups in the licensing industry who come to Nuremberg from all over the world to identify market changes and to discover innovations.”
CEO of Spielwarenmesse eG, Ernst Kick, said that licensing is a central theme to the fair.
“Licences are closely entwined with the Spielwarenmesse, which is why we’re happy to give them a sufficiently wide stage and disseminate information and expertise in this field.”
LIMA will also have its own stand at the show for the third year in a row and will provide licensors and licensees with a central point of contact. LIMA members will have the opportunity to take part in the LicensePreview event where they can present ideas to select business contacts.
Spielwarenmesse will take place from 30 January – 03 February 2019.
