WowWee, the home of Fingerlings – the minature robotic pets that stormed Christmas lists everywhere in 2017 and took home the coveted Toy Of The Year award – has announced the hit toy will soon move the small screen as the stars of a new short-form animated series for YouTube.
WowWee has appointed Quebec-based studio, Squeeze, to adapt the toy line into an animated series, the episodes of which will be written and directed by Kevin Munroe (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ratchet & Clank). The series is scheduled to debut later this year online.
Russell Binder and Marc Mostman of Striker Entertainment, Fingerlings' global licensing agency, will serve as executive producers on the project.
Fingerlings are distributed in Australia by Hunter Products, who will show the range at the Toy Hobby & Licensing Fair, stands L40 and M24.
