Kids' digital studio, WildBrain, has been appointed by Mercis Media BV to manage the YouTube presence of popular children's character, Miffy, on an exclusive, worldwide basis.


As part of the strategy to grow the Miffy brand on YouTube, WildBrain will relaunch the English channel and focus on the US market, while also launching new Miffy channels in French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese.


WildBrain will also optimise the existing Dutch, Italian, German and Russian channels.


In total, WildBrain will manage over 200 Miffy videos across the channels, many of which will be premiering on YouTube for the first time.


Managing director of Mercis Media, Marja Kerkhof, said that joining the WildBrain network will help to grow the Miffy fan base across the world.


“We are very excited to become part of a strong platform that reaches global audiences on YouTube.


“We are dedicated to bringing the heritage of Dick Bruna into the lives of young children around the world.


“Teaming up with WildBrain is an excellent opportunity to further grow our Miffy fan base on YouTube and create more channels.”
