The European Toy Company is excited to unveil its new brands from Poland: glockenspiel maker Kaja-music, wooden toy crafter Tarnawa, and Pilch, creator of sustainable educational toys.

A glockenspiel is a musical instrument that has a set of tuned bars arranged as a keyboard, similary to a xylophone. Where they differ is the material used to make the keys: a xylophone's bars are made of wood, whereas a glockenspiel's keys are made from metal plates.

Kaja-music has designed and crafted a range of beautiful glockenspiels mounted on natural wooden bases. There are also a selection of small plastic Glockenspiels that are ideal for toddlers.

Glockenspiels are excellent for teaching children the basic principles of melody as well as hand-eye coordination and memorisation, whether in the home or the classroom.

Tarnawa have been crafting wooden toys since 1934. All toys are made from natural materials, and featuring unique designs that aid a child’s educational development. The wooden puzzles, skipping ropes and spinning tops have been very popular this year, as are the puzzle trains and planes, and the animal-themed pull-along puzzles-on-a string.

Pilch is a leading educational, sustainable toymaker. Pilch puzzle blocks are not only adorable, they also assist children to develop their memory and observation skills, dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination.
